Bright chevrons and a giveaway!

Remember how I went on vacation, and I was going to schedule posts for while I was away? Yeah well. . . .I didn't do that.  I'm home now, though, and I have some CA-UTTE stuff to show you, that I am totally excited about.
When Stephanie showed the sneak peek of this chevron set, I admit it - I GASPED.  I was so excited to get this, and play with it! Chevron patterns are SO trendy right now, and they fit right in with my love of bold bright graphic patterns.  (And if you like chevrons. . .stick around, because I have something you'll REALLY be excited about, on the 20th!)
I don't know why it seemed like such a lightbulb moment, but I suddenly realized that I could stamp the chevrons in two different colors (duh) instead of the "in between" space being only the cardstock color. So I stamped in dark blue and light blue, and I just LOVE it! I don't even care that the white shows through in a few spots. I totally did that on purpose. Totally. (snicker, snicker!)

I "stole" these last two photos from Stephanie and the TSOL website. . .because frankly, their photographs of my cards are a whole lot cuter than my plain jane images.  ;)   As you can see, I have had a TON of fun with these chevron stamps.  On this card, I used a sponge dauber and blended orange, pink, and yellow ink together. LOVE the way this turned out.  I paired it with some awesomely BRIGHT Sunshine Lemon dungaree cardstock, from Discount Cardstock.

Black and white and pink is always going to be a color combination that works.  It's just the way it is! I love it, love it, love it!

This has definitely become one of my go-to stamp sets. Another fun background stamp set that I LOVE is the animals4prints set, which features two animal prints that are perfect for jazzing up a card or project.  And. . . .happy news for YOU, Stephanie has offered up an animals4prints stamp set that I can give away to one of YOU!  Please visit The {Stamps} of Life shop, and then leave me a comment on this post to tell me one of your favorite stamp sets that you see.  And I will enter you into the giveaway!  I'll draw a random winner on Wednesday night, June 20th.  (GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.)

(card goodies: cardstock - Discount Cardstock, ink - Stephanie Barnard Colorbox by Clearsnap, stamps - The Stamps of Life, twine - Divine Twine)

Beautiful cards. I haven't done much with my background stamps. Looks like I need to pull them out and play around with them.

I've not heard of the Stamps of Life before, so thanks for pointing me to their site. Their Mums stamps are great, and I really like their onesie4baby set. Cheers. :)

The blue chevrons with that adorable turtle...sooo cute! I am excited to learn about a new stamp company (for me)! So many cute stamp sets. I don't own any hexagon stamps and really like the hexagons2love set! Thanks for the inspiration and the possibility to win a set!

Once again, you have some of the greatest ideas for cards. I really like all the possibilities with this cheveron background stamp. I'm seeing this design everywhere! Out of all the stamps at TSOL my favorite is praise4Him...i am a clubmember and i use this one quite often. But it's really hard to pick, Stephanie has so many great stamps. I don't have the animals4prints set yet...this would be a fun way to get it! Thanks for the giveaway...i know how much you love animal prints!
Have a great day... we missed you last week. Hope vacation was fun :)

These are such wonderful cards, but I think the pink and black one is my favorite.

I checked out the Stamps of Life Shop. My first time, but not my last. :) I love the chevron that you used, but I've really been drawn to sentiment stamps recently. I love the hello2you set. I just love the nice clean font.
