It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas? {Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine}

I'm on the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine blog today, welcoming a new issue! Holiday Cards & More, Volume 9 is a print issue, on newsstands now, and it is full of holiday inspiration! If you didn't come from there, please pop on over to the blog and visit! I've shared some lovely holiday tags and then I created my own non-holiday tags from that inspiration - just to prove that this is a pretty must-have issue, even if you aren't quite ready for winter crafting!

And I have one little holiday project for you here today, PLUS a chance to win. . . .read on, my crafty friends!

I created this card with some sweet products from the Timbergrove Collection by Fancy Pants Designs. The burlap bow, also from Fancy Pants, is such a great product. It comes just like you see it, already shaped and ready to stick on a project. I love the way it brought this whole card together. I am work on my layering skills - putting product together, and actually USING all of the stickers, tags, and fun embellishments I have so this card was good practice!

And now, because we are celebrating a new magazine, in addition to the copy I'm giving away on the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking blog, I have one more issue to give away here! So, leave a comment - I'd love to know: Do you create Christmas/holiday cards? If so, how early you start working on them? I'll draw one random commenter to win Holiday Cards & More, on Saturday August 23rd! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi! Great card! I love the bow and those colors are perfect! I'm still looking for my holiday inspiration so that I can get started, you have help a lot! Thank you! Also can't wait to get that new issue and see all that wonderful inspiration as well!

I admit I don't make my own Christmas cards, so far I do photo cards of my munchkins. But I do make tags to go with the homemade Sugar and Spice Walnuts I give out at Christmas...and I MAJORLY procrastinate on doing those...often the night before I need them. Ugh!

Love the burlap bow on your card. I do make Christmas cards and always intend to start early but usually I am doing them at the last minute in December. This year I already have a few made--yippee!

Love the colors and layering on your card. I do make all my holiday cards, but I get boring making more than 10 of the same thing, so I make several different ones.

Lovely card. I always make my own Christmas cards and get inspiration for different ideas off the internet when I can find it.

HI, Laura!

Cute, cute card!
My usual go-to Christmas card is the photo card...I still like to put a little greeting and sign them by hand, though. At least that way it has a more personal touch. Once in a while I will make my own card for a special someone at Christmas time :)
Love your inspiration for us!

I do make holiday cards every year, I make one design, usually quite amazing and mass produce about 70 of them. I start "thinking" about my design over the summer, by October I've started to make them. I also have plans to make the anniversary and birthday cards I need for the rest of the year now, before the "madness" hits in Oct-December. My business is usually quite busy and I "forget" how much time I need to get projects done.

Love your card! I'm working on layering, also, and I need all the help I can get! I make all our Christmas cards using the HC&Ms (I have a stack of oldies) as my inspiration! Thanks for the chance to win the latest issue!!!

I make Christmas and other holiday cards every year. I only send them to people who I know will appreciate them - they may throw them away eventually but they'll know I loved them enough to send them something I'd made. I start thinking about Christmas cards around this time but I'm constantly changing the design until I sit down and start making them. what I decided today may have no relation to what the final finished card looks like.

I make Christmas cards for family and close friends. They have come to expect them. One year I was really sick and didn't make any - boy did I hear about it. I usually start right after Halloween. I like to take my time making my cards, none of them are same. Everyone gets their very own unique card.

I used to make all our cards, including about 50 Christmas ones each year. Now that I have a toddler it's not always so easy.
