Fall In Love watercolor card {Fun Stampers Journey}

Hello friends! Last week I shared some tips and techniques for watercolor pencils, so today I thought I'd share another watercolor card. If you missed last week's post, scroll down or click here

On today's card, I started out with a Color Splash Sheet. This watercolor paper comes already in card size, so it's extra handy. I stamped the leaves and fall foliage around the edges of the paper, and stamped the sentiment in the center. To color, I used the Paint With Watercolor technique I shared last week. I just puddle some water on an acrylic block, scribble with pencil until I create the desired color, and paint my images with a paintbrush.

I also added some water around my images, and then painted over that water with a pale yellow - painting color onto a wet surface really helps the color to blend and bleed, which is just what I wanted. And then I added some splatters to tie it all together. (Remember if you splatter paint onto a wet surface, it will bleed, and if you splatter onto a dry surface, your drops of paint will hold their shape. I like to do a little of both!

This stamp set, called Autumn Greetings (SS-0389), is part of FSJ's holiday mini catalog, which runs until September 30th. Be sure to grab this while it's available! I LOVE this one. I've been using it like crazy!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm off to go do some more watercoloring! xoxo
