Find Joy In The Journey With Multistep Stamps {Fun Stampers Journey}

Crafting trends and techniques seems to cycle through, don't they? I remember quite a few years ago when multistep stamps were super trendy, especially in floral themes. A multistep stamp set is a set of coordinating stamps, that are layered on top of each other to create detailed and dimensional images. Multistep stamping has found it's way back into popularity, and it's pretty fun to play with all the options! Sometimes there's a learning curve to a multistep set, and it takes some playing to figure out what colors work together, and how the stamps all fit.

For instance, this is the Poppy Days (SS-0346) stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey. This set includes two flowers, each with three layers. You'll almost always start with the most solid image, and then work your way to the smallest detail stamp.

To add to the options with this style stamp set, often you may only want to use one or two of the layers. In this case, I used two of the layers and created a background with them. (I'm pretty sure I omitted the small center layer...I'm not sure if that was on purpose or not! LOL!)

I used Lemon Drop ink for the solid layer, and then Rich Coral ink for the top layer. It's fun to play around with color combinations, to create different looks!

I absolutely love the way the Rainbow Drops look on this card. They're so subtle and shiny, and the colors just worked perfectly. It looks cool, doesn't it!?

Thanks times a million for coming by today! xoxo

I love your card! I don't have any of the multi-step flowers, but I have Beautiful Wings. I love that butterfly! After seeing your gorgeous card, a multi-step flower stamp set will be on my next order.
