My favorite winter and Christmas cards are warm and cozy, but crisp and bright. It's sort of an oxymoron, isn't it? Today I have some snowflake cards to share with you featuring a crisp AND cozy AND very classic color combination for winter crafts. Red, white, black, and kraft is one of my go-to color palettes for Christmas crafts, decorating, and gift wrap. It never goes out of style, and I think you'll LOVE today's cards.

For today's first card I used the Cover Up Snowflake Die from Lil' Inker Designs. This die is SO cool. It creates a background that fills a card front. I stamped the sentiment from the Big Christmas Stamps onto vellum, which I die cut a banner flag from. I finished off the card with some simple twine and a button. This card is pretty simple, but it packs a BIG bold punch with the colors and snowflake background. Using vellum allows the snowflakes to still show through, so we don't lose any of that great pattern.

Looking for MORE Christmas inspiration in this crisp classic color palette?
The beauty of this next clean and simple card is that it's clean.and.simple. I diecut the sentiment, the snowflake, and the pinked circle (from corrugated stock) and assembled the card. It can't get much easier than this, my friends! Sometimes we make things too complicated - but not this simple beauty. The embossed background adds just the right amount of detail so it doesn't feel boring or bland.
And next, just a little more love for this classic Christmas color combination - and some more snowflakes! Crisp and cozy all rolled into one, isn't it? It makes me think of cozy logs in the fire, mixed with red wrapping paper and my all-time favorite combination of black and white (all year long, give me black and white!)
For this card, I wanted to get some BIG contrast so I paired the crisp white snowflakes with cozy black and red buffalo check paper on a kraft card base.
I hope these cards have inspired you to grab a classic color combination for Christmas, and you're ready to craft up some crisp, clean and simple holiday cards! I am feeling cozy and festive and ready for WINTER!
