On today's first card, I used two new products. Cozy Winter Wishes is a beautiful stamp set with sentiments and simply lovely snowflakes. I am always a sucker for snowflakes. (Maybe because living in Florida, I don't see many snowflakes!) The Border Builders die set is going to be such a versatile set in my die collection. There are 5 border dies to create pieces that can be used together or individually, creating scenes, strips and borders. I used the wavy line border to create the panel my sentiment is on. Two quick passes through the machine and I had this fabulous customized piece.
After I stamped my large snowflake, I took a water brush and an ink pad and just grabbed a little ink and brushed it over my snowflake to add a little color. It doesn't show in the picture, but after it dried, I added some glittery goodness with a Wink of Stella - I'm just in love with the subtle sparkle these glitter brushes can add.
(Patterned paper on this card is from Close To My Heart - called Snowhaven)
Next up, I created another card using the Cover Up Die: Snowflakes. I shared a red and white version on yesterday's post, but I really REALLY like to mix up the holiday colors a bit, and I thought pink and blue could be fun accent colors with the snowflakes. The sentiment is from Cozy Winter Wishes, and the banner die is from Flags & Tags. The Cover Up dies make it so easy to mass produce cards - Just fold a card base, die cut the background, and adhere it, then add a quick sentiment layer.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Remember to comment along your way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to Lil' Inker Designs!
