Welcome to day 3 of the Impression Obsession Summer Stamp Release! This week has been so much FUN! Today I have not just one card . . .not two . . .not even three - but FOUR cards to share. But because I’m so sneaky, I made all four cards at one time - and you can too! I always need birthday cards, and today I’ll show you a simple way to make four cards out at once to build up your card stash.
We’re using the Happy Birthday Stamp Set from Impression Obsession for these cards.
To begin, place the balloon and confetti stamps plus the Happy and Birthday sentiments on clear blocks. Begin stamping on a full sheet of white cardstock, and fill in the whole 8.5x11 sheet. Start in one corner with the sentiment, and then move from there, filling in as you go along. Keeping the images straight rather than on angles will help you easily fill in all the spaces. Use the smaller stamps to fill in smaller areas, but don’t panic if you have some gaps because we can fix those in the next step.
Once the sheet is fully stamped, add inky spots with a sponge dauber. I used a larger dauber with yellow ink, and a smaller dauber with blue ink. Add dots right over the stamped images, and fill in any blank spots. Then, add some colored pencil details. (The birthday sentiment is really fun to add color to!)
After you’ve added a few pops of color, cut the panel into four pieces and adhere to four card bases. Then, trim some slightly smaller panels of vellum and staple to attach on top. This layer of vellum lets the pattern and color to show through, but it will allow our stamped sentiment to remain the focal point.
Speaking of that focal point, to finish this card off, stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment again (four times) on another sheet of white cardstock. Detail cut, and then layer each together with a die cut circle, some washi tape and a few embellishments.
And now, for the important details about today’s blog hop:
