How to Use Shades of Blue for Cool Winter Cards

Hello friends! I'm playing along with Impression Obsession's latest challenge, called Moody Blues. I decided to make a winter card with some shades of cool blues, although i couldn't resist throwing in a little purple and green because it all flows so well!
To make this background, I began with a large acrylic block and a piece of watercolor paper. I added stripes of FSJ Liquid Colors (liquid dye ink) onto the block, and then i misted it heavily with water.  When the colors all began to flow together, I placed the watercolor sheet face down on top to pick up the color. A little splatter of Beach Ball Silk finished it off, and then I let it dry under a stack of books to get nice and flat.
Meanwhile, I heat embossed this sweet Nordic Town stamp onto black cardstock and adhered it with foam squares plus a length of Sparkle Tape.

The simple sentiment and a few sequins finished off this card and I think it's really fun for winter!

I hope you'll head over to the Impression Obsession blog where you'll find links to the other designers' projects, as well as the challenge rules, and a place to link up YOUR Moody Blues challenge card. Seriously - y'all need to get in on this! It's a great chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the IO store!
