The Love Words die set is practical AND adorable for Valentine messages - plus it has adorable hearts too. It's similar to the Typewriter Sentiments set that was released in the winter for holiday cards. Both sets contain words that can be used long after the seasons change and these will stay at my fingertips all year long. For today's first card, I die-cut the sentiments from pink and red cardstocks and just mixed and matched them to make a background. I love that all of the sentiments are attached together. One quick pass through your die-cutting machine and you'll have a whole set of words and hearts.

I used these dies again for my second card, but I paired them with another ABSOLUTELY DARLING die - and again, a die you'll use all year long, called the Scalloped Nine-Patch. This die creates a 9-square grid (tic tac toe anyone??) The stitched details are perfection and you'll use each of the elements in this set together AND separately for all SORTS of possibilities. To make this Valentine Tic Tac Toe card I trimmed apart the XOXO die to make separate pieces. And those hearts - swoon! I love the little pierced and stitched details on them!

I love using the Magic Mat with my die cutting machine, because it alleviates those pesky cutting lines on the underneath side of die cut shapes. You know, the ones from your best used cutting plates?
