Hey crafty chicks! Today starts a new challenge on the Impression Obsession blog, and the theme is On the Farm. I love coloring these cute chickens and I decided they work perfectly for a farm challenge. Ready to take a look at today's farmyard card?

Let's talk about the background for a minute too. The background panel began yellow and green inks rolled out on the Gel Press. After pulling a print, I stamped the dotted background in yellow. I'll be honest, before I stamped the dots, this print had just been laying around and I thought it was pretty ugly. It was probably destined for the garbage, but the dots really pulled it together. I like the way the green twine bow complements the hints of green in the background. The pinked yellow circle ties the image together - and maybe hints at a sunrise or sunset in the background?
Okay friends, it's time for YOU to get involved in the latest cardmaking challenge on the Impression Obsession blog. The theme is On the Farm so dig through your stash of Impression Obsession stamps and dies, and see what you have that works for the challenge. Then link it up at the IO blog because you might just win a gift certificate to the shop! Over on the blog, you'll also find a list of the design team members who are sharing some farm fresh cards to kick off the challenge.
Don't have any Impression Obsession stamps and dies? I hate to be an enabler, but you really should check out their shop - every time I look, I see something I never noticed before. They have a HUGE selection, in EVERY style and theme! (#sorrynotsorry) Plus, their sale section is AMAZING right now. There are tons of cute clear stamp sets on sale for $7.50! Whaaaat!?
