Today is day 1 of our two-day blog hop celebrating the February stamp release at Impression Obsession. I have quite a few cards to share with you - and they all share one thing in common. They only use ONE STAMP. Just one, my friends! This fantastic Kitty Hug stamp is versatile, fun, and sweet for a variety of occasions. Today's cards could be Valentine cards - but they don't have to be. And I love that!
On today's first two cards I paper-pieced the stamped image with some bits of patterned paper for fun layered cards. I'm ALWAYS ALWAYS a sucker for pink, aqua + black and white. I just can't help myself!
Next up - if you're looking for a SIMPLE Valentine card idea to give to kids, or for your kids to give to others, check out this idea . . .
It honestly doesn't get much easier than this:- Cut cardstock in shades of pink and aqua into 3x3 mini cards.
- Add a 3x3 piece of coordinating patterned paper to the card front
- Stamp the image onto white cardstock, trim, and adhere to the card front. DONE. Check out your stash of stamps - you might have something that's just perfect for this card idea already!
UPDATE: I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Kitty Hug stamp has been discontinued. . . but WAIT. The good news is that Nola Chandler has some other adorable stamps at Impression Obsession that could work beautifully for a similar card idea. Check out a few of my favorite Valentine-themed Nola stamp sets:
Have you been to the IO website lately? We are so sad that Impression Obsession is closing their doors at the end of 2024.
