Merry Christmas card with red cardstock, a red and silver poinsettia, and silver pine branches, all from Spellbinders Paper Arts.
I always lean toward bold colors and patterns for holiday cards, (who am I kidding - that's how I lean for ALL of my cards, crafts, clothes, housewares. . . I just like COLOR.) I did some serious mixing and matching for today's card, picking dies and a Glimmer plate from a few different sets for today's card. It's always fun to mix things up a bit, and you'll end up with limitless possibilities if you have a few products that can work well together.
To complete the card, I layered the circle on some green patterned paper, then added it to a piece of striped paper, and onto a red card base. (And of course, finished off with some enamel dots!) Both pieces of patterned paper are from a great little 6x6 stack called Christmas Traditions, and I've been using this paper like crazy! (It also has some foiled prints that are just stunning!)
Today's card began with that lovely poinsettia. I am still fairly new to hot foiling, and the Glimmer Hot Foil machine, but I am slowly becoming more comfortable with it. I did a bunch of Glimmering last week, and I had this sweet poinsettia sitting on my desk without a project, so I decided to give it a home today.

I decided to roll with the silver on the flower and add some more bold silver color to my card. I die cut some greenery from Mirror Silver Cardstock and Brushed Silver Cardstock and tucked it around my flower. I paired it all with that awesome bold circle and sentiment (the sentiment and circle are one die) from the brand new Through the Woods Dies.
