I wanted to make a couple more Christmas cards this year, just for fun - and because I AM so very grateful that you stop by my blog - if it wasn't for YOU there'd be no point in sharing my cards and crafts here. You're an important part of my little crafty world - so THANK YOU. You're kind of a big deal!

Today's cards feature a really cool die set, called Color Block Merry Christmas. This die set makes a slimline size card, with large block letters spelling CHRISTMAS. Then there's a sweet little merry to add on top, or even use separately. I die cut the large letters from pink cardstock, because pink is so much FUN for Christmas! I paired it with a strip of embossed aqua cardstock along with a strip of red cardstock to create the background. A couple of snowflakes finished off this simple card that makes a BIG impact!

As I was playing around with my slimline Christmas card, I die cut an extra merry because I couldn't decide which color to use. So I figured I'd add it onto another card for you! (the MORE the MERRIER, right?) I had a festive Glimmer hot foiled background panel that was just begging to become a card, so I paired it with the MERRY letters plus a hot foiled sentiment strip.

When I am using my Glimmer machine, I like to make a day of it and just hot foil ALL THE THINGS. I make a bunch of extra sentiments and backgrounds, and then I can pull from them as I'm crafting. I don't have a lot of space to leave the hot foil machine out all the time, so this system works well for me.

It was perfect for this handmade card idea, because I had the background all ready to go, plus a variety of Christmas sentiments. I picked the one that matched the best with the word MERRY, and this card came together so quickly and simply!
I have a few more Christmas cards to sneak in this week, so stay tuned. I'd love for you to  subscribe so you don't miss a blog post!
