What are your go-to card making elements . . .the things you use again and again? If I had to choose a few, most of them are on today's card. Black and white stripes, aqua, staples, a little bit of bling, and polka dots. BOOM. That's ME if I was a handmade card. This card features a few different die sets all combined into one happy layout. Two coordinating word sets that I use again and again are: Typewriter Sentiments, which is a Christmas words set. (The word peace is from this set.) And also, Love Words, which is Valentine themed, but it also has sweet stitched hearts, and some words that can be used all year, like I love you and I miss you. (The word love came from this set.)
To finish off the peace, love, joy I used the scripty JOY sentiment which is so beautiful on its own, but works so well combined with the simpler font too! I die-cut the word from black cardstock as well as a silver glitter stock, and layered it for the shimmering shadow effect.
I hope you love today's simple inspiration. Be sure to stop by the Impression Obsession blog for a list of all the designers participating in today's die-cutting day! I'm sure they have some diecut cuteness to share!

I love using the Magic Mat with my die cutting machine, because it alleviates those pesky cutting lines on the underneath side of die cut shapes. You know, the ones from your best used cutting plates?
