How To Make an Adorable Mini Die-Cut Taco for Handmade Cards

Last week I showcased the new Taco die set from Impression Obsession. It includes a taco shape, and fun fillings to put inside, like lettuce, tomatoes, and meat. For today's card, we'll use the fillings. . . but we'll create our own taco from a super simple tool - a circle die! Cut whatever size circle die you'd like, and then - here's the trickiest part . . . are you ready? FOLD IT IN HALF. Boom! You just made a taco! For today's card, I used IO's taco fillings, but I cut them into smaller pieces to fit my taco.

Don't have the fillings? There are some simple substitutes if you get a little creative.  Cut a smaller circler die from red cardstock, and cut it into fourths to make tomato segments. Crinkle some small strips of paper or tissue to make lettuce or shredded cheese. It's okay to use what you have, to recreate this idea!

Today we're celebrating all things DIE CUTTING on the Impression Obsession blog. Be sure to head over there for a list of all the designers participating, and check out what they've been creating.

By the way, have you been to the IO website lately? It's undergoing a huge birthday makeover. You'll LOVE the new layout, enhanced features and usability! Plus...it looks BEAUTIFUL!
