Make It Merry! Festive Handmade Christmas Card Ideas with Die-cutting {Spellbinders Paper Arts}

It's a Christmas miracle: my shopping is done, and my gifts are wrapped. And there's still five more days until Christmas! This is a once in a lifetime accomplishment, quite possibly never to be repeated again. So let's celebrate with some handmade Christmas card ideas and a little crafty time, shall we?

All of today's cards feature some darling die cutting sets from Spellbinders. . . and they all just happen to be on sale right now. So if you need to interrupt your Christmas chaos to buy yourself a little gift or two, I won't tell! (It's actually a great way to get ahead for next year - grab these goodies while they're on sale, and then you have all year long to get your cards made!)

The first card features the sweet Santa's Here! from the Classic Christmas Collection. I paired Mr. Claus with the Bottle Brush Trees Duo, which look so neat layered together in coordinating colors.
All of today's cards feature die-cutting and no stamping at all. Sometimes I love to get inky. . .and sometimes it's fun to just play with paper. This second card is a great idea for using up all the bits and pieces of garland, sprigs, flowers and stems that you may have from other projects. Start with the beautiful bird from the Christmas Bird set, and then just fill in with bits of this and that. The die cut circle in the background establishes a clear focal point, and the sentiment strip is the perfect landing place for the sweet bird.
There's so much more than just a bird in the Christmas Bird die set though, because it also includes this gorgeous poinsettia and sweet candy canes too! Adding an embossed background adds the perfect subtle finishing touch to fill the white space on this card. (I did use a little bit of pink ink to add some shading to the poinsettia on this card too!)

I hope you have a festive and fun week before Christmas, my crafty friends! Can't wait to see you in 2024 for more card making, crafting, and fun! Thank you so much for stopping by today! xoxo

PS. Big thanks to Spellbinders for taking the beautiful photos of my cards!
