Crafting a sympathy card {Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine}

Creating sympathy cards is never the most fun task. It's hard to create a lovely and heartfelt card, that's not too cheery sunshine but not too bleak and sad. I love the way this color palette came together with pale aqua, gray, and black. I used a downloadable sentiment from Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking - have you checked out all of their downloadable sentiments, patterns and templates? My fingers are crossed that after the magazine is no more, that the resources on the website will continue! (I'll let you know if I hear anything!) There are so many great downloads. You can find all of them here on the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking website.   (edit: I just realized that this particular sentiment was never released - it was intended for an upcoming issue - but there are a billion other fabulous sentiments on the website! Go grab them!)

I used patterned paper from Teresa Collins Something Wonderful collection, as well as Echo Park's Capture Life Black and White and Carta Bella's Sew Lovely. (affiliate links at scrapbook.com) The wood embellishment is from Close To My Heart. Such a fun accessory!

I hope your Thanksgiving weekend has been filled with fun and beautiful memories!!! We've gotten our Christmas tree, decorating the house is in full-swing, and soup is about to go into the crockpot for dinner. It's pretty much perfection, if you ask me! Thanks so much for stopping by today! xoxo

What a pretty card Laura. I love that awesome wood veneer swirl on the front. It really dresses the card up!
