Hello friends!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! I have two fun cards to show you today - but they both use the same technique, using a background die (or any dies for that matter) plus some reinkers (or any liquid ink you have) plus the Gel Press. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Die cut a background die from cardstock to create a stencil. (Or use several small die-cut shapes. I used the Spider Web Die Set.)
2. Choose a few colors of ink (I used Cosmic Grape, River Stone, and Cool Pool Re-Inkers) Scatter drops of each color ink across the Gel Press. Brayer it out (be careful to not over-blend, or your colors will get muddy.)
3. Splatter Gel Press with Fun Stampers Journey Sparkle Silk for an added layer of texture and fun. (It creates those white splatters that you see across the background.)
4. Lay die-cut stencil down onto Gel Press and gently press down around edges and across the die to be sure the stencil is touching the inky surface. Then, remove stencil carefully.
5. Press down a piece of cardstock to pull print over stenciled area. Say oooh and ahhh over your cool creation! Then, create a fun card with it! YAY!
And yes, since today IS Halloween, it's a little late to be creating Halloween cards (although not entirely a ridiculous idea ;) but I have a Christmas version for you, using the same exact technique. Hard to believe, because this card looks so different? But I used the same process as above. I simply used a different background die (Geo Burst Die Set) and different colors of ink (Electric Lime, Sour Lemon, Sweet Pear, and Kiwi Slice) I finished this card off with the awesome poinsettia from the Poinsettia Burst stamp set, and a sentiment from the Happy Merry stamp set. (Both stamp sets are from the 2017 Holiday Mini!)
