I followed the same basic layout for each of these cards, but I chose a different leaf and a different sentiment for each. Then I played around with fun printed gold washi tape, and splatters of Gold Silk.
SO, friends....here's your challenge, should you choose to accept it - create a card using some unexpected colors. Give your creation a funky flair! And then, share a link with me in the comments because I'd LOVE to come and see your creation!

Laura,
ReplyDeleteI love these cards! I think the different colors on these leaves is a great idea, esp. for those like me in Florida who never see leaves change colors in the typical way. I don't have the gold washi tape, but I am thinking maybe I can gold emboss the stamps from the Tape It set and get a similar effect. I am always looking for ideas for that set. As always, thanks for the inspiration.
BETTY that's an AWESOME idea!!!! I've never thought to emboss the Tape It stamps, but you're exactly right - it would give a similar look, and it would be FABULOUS!!! (I totally want to go emboss with that stamp set now!!! YAY!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletemy favorite types of cards - clean and simple but gorgeous! thanx for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat clean and simple card! Did you splatter the gold before you added the washi tape or after? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteDebbie - I probably did it after, but it doesn't really matter either way. Knowing how I work, I probably made the whole batch of cards, and then splattered them all at the end. :)
