How to Make Simple Birthday Cards for All

Hello friends!
I am always always needing some birthday cards on hand. And today I have ONE birthday card TWO ways - both of them are pretty easy, and have a clean and simple flair, but one has a few less steps just in case you're expected at that birthday party in ten minutes!

Don't worry party-goers, the SUPER quick one is up first. (I know, you don't even have time to read this whole blog post, and I certainly don't want you missing out on party food and games!)

So here's the quick run-down:

  • White card base.
  • Die cut balloons.
  • Trim the corner off large balloon.
  • Stick them on the card.
  • Stamp the sentiment.
  • Splatter with Silk.
  • Tie a bow.
  • Hit the road and party with your friends.
  • (Buh bye!)

Now, for those of you still with me, and you have a few extra minutes, here's a second version of the same cute card, plus a few extra details:
  • Same white card base, but this time I embossed it for a fun subtle background.
  • How much do you love this YAY sentiment? It's two stamps. Stamp the solid one whatever color you'd like, and then stamp the outline right over top! (Or use the stamps independently. Love it!) Plus, it has a matching die. So for my second card, I stamped and die cut it from a separate piece of cardstock and adhered it with foam tape.)
  • On this second card, I also mixed up the balloon situation. I diecut two balloons instead of three, and then used a smaller punched blue circle.
Both cards are of the clean and simple, quick and easy variety...and this layout would work with about a million color combinations, so feel free to create it and make it your own! Switch up the embossing folder, or even the sentiment. (But really...why bother. Nothing could be cuter than this YAY set!) ;)

Thanks so much for coming by today, friends!!!! Now, go get crafty and have some fun! xoxo
