There is something completely adorable about shamrocks, don't you think? I'm not Irish, and I've never really done much to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but when you have ADORABLE Lucky Clover dies, it's totally inspiring to create some fun goodies for the occasion!

Pencil toppers are such a fun little craft to whip up for any holiday. Kids feel like a big deal when they have a cool pencil to write with, and if you have a fun topped pencil at work, it's easier to keep track of! So let's craft up some LUCKY shamrock pencil toppers today!
You guys, these were so quick and cute to make!
Here are your super simple instructions:
- First, die cut a shamrock. (I used this Lucky Clovers die set.) These shamrocks would look adorable cut from patterned paper or a great shade of green cardstock. No clover shaped dies? Print out shamrock outlines on colored paper or cardstock and trim by hand.
- Use glue dots (or a tiny dot of hot glue) to stick shamrocks to the pencils. (I'm pretty sure I got these pencils on clearance after last Easter. I love to stock up on colorful pencils when they're on sale.)
- Add a tiny tag with a sentiment.
- Wrap pencil with twine, and add a button and a bow. (How sweet are those rainbow buttons for St. Patrick's Day!?)
I had a sheet of cardstock covered in shades of green ink, that I had previously printed on my Gel Press so that's what I used for my shamrocks. To make the coordinating card, I used scraps from that same sheet. Are you ready for the card instructions? It's tricky business, people... (I'm totally kidding. It's easy peasy.)
- Make four hearts. (I used a punch, but a heart-shaped die or even good old scissors and a folded piece of paper will work!)
- Attach the four hearts in the shape of a clover onto the card base.
- Add a twine bow in the center, and some sort of sweet stamped sentiment.
- BAM. DONE. Proceed with your lucky green business. This would be a super cute gift to give your child's teacher, or get crazy and make a whole class set. And if you take one of these pencils to work - everyone will want to steal it! (But don't let them . . .just make them one of their own!) I'm a little late now, but how cute would these pencils be with hearts instead of shamrocks, for Valentine's Day?! Ahhh, time to think about next year!
