How to Make Lucky Clover Pencil Toppers

There is something completely adorable about shamrocks, don't you think? I'm not Irish, and I've never really done much to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but when you have ADORABLE Lucky Clover dies, it's totally inspiring to create some fun goodies for the occasion!

I started today's projects with a Gel Press print I made a while back. I'm pretty sure it was some combination of Electric Lime and Limeade Splash ink from FSJ, and some splatters of Silk and a lot of brayering and prints on top of each other. From that print, I started trimming and die cutting and put together this fun project!

First up, the pencil toppers. You guys, these were so quick and cute to make! I just die cut the Lucky Clovers from my printed cardstock, and then I used glue dots to stick them to the pencils. (I'm pretty sure I got these pencils on clearance after Easter last year!) I added a little notched tag that says "Wish You Luck", wrapped some twine around the pencil and tied a bow on top of a rainbow button.

To create the card, I got super fancy (not really, I'm totally kidding) and pulled out a heart punch. Four hearts, a twine bow, a die cut sentiment. BAM. Done. LOVE. This would be a super cute gift to send in for your child's teacher, or get crazy, and make a set of pencils for their whole class! And if you take one of these pencils to work with you, EVERYONE will want to steal it!
I'm a little late now, but how cute would these pencils be with hearts instead of shamrocks, for Valentine's Day?! Ahhh, time to think about next year! Thanks so much for stopping by to see my lucky little crafts! If you're desperate to make these little babies for yourself, you're in LUCK! FSJ is having an Over the Rainbow promotion, and you can score these Lucky Clover Dies, as well as a variety of other products for 25% off during the month of March!
