Let's get right to this card, because it is so filled with COLOR and FUN that I can't wait! This card features the new Love Squared stamp - but first, let's talk about that background. I've been using this technique a lot lately because I just love rainbow stripes! I used water soluble gel crayons on the background - which give such amazing bold colors, and they can be blended a bit with water. (I just Jane Davenport Colorsticks, which have been discontinued, but Gelatos are basically the same thing!) After scribbling across a cardstock panel I brushed over it lightly with water and then added a splatter of Black Licorice Silk.
To color the stamped image, I began with another fun Jane Davenport coloring tool, Mermaid Markers. They are highly pigmented watercolors in a brush. They can be applied straight to paper, or diluted with water. I brushed the color right onto my image, and then added some pastel details to the flowers.
To finish off the card, I added FSJ Rainbow Drops. I coordinated the dot color with the stripe colors. It's a subtle touch, but I love the texture and shine it adds without overpowering the main image.
Okay, my friends. I hope you loved this COLORFUL rainbow Valentine card! And THIS is only the beginning. We have a whole week of new release fun. Here are the details:
