With Heart She Loves {More New Impression Obsession Dies!}

Hello friends! Last week we started celebrating the new summer dies at Impression Obsession, and I thought I'd come back with one of the fabulous new sets available. This might be part of the summer release, but you'll be using it ALL.YEAR.LONG. It's quickly become a favorite and practical set! Ready to take a look?

Guess what these cute scalloped rectangle dies are called? They're called. . .Cute Scalloped Rectangles! (Duh! ;) You'll use this die set in so many ways. Want a few ideas?

  • Layer them on top of each other for a matted rectangle
  • Overlap them for a collage-type background like I did on today's card
  • Use them for gift tags
  • Make labels for ALL the things.
  • Use the negative cut-out for a shaker card or tunnel card.
  • Use the smallest one as a faux postage stamp.
I love having simple shapes with special details (like the tiny scallops and dotted border) to use as a base background for clean and simple cards. The added detail really finishes off a simple card.

On today's card I stamped a bunch of my favorite flowers and greenery and just made a fun dimensional scene, using the Cute Scalloped Rectangles as a base. Adding foam squares for dimension and a little white pen for simple highlights and this card came together simply.
Today's post is part of Impression Obsession's Die Cut Obsession. The design team is sharing die cutting magic today, so head over to the IO blog to see  links for everyone participating. I can't wait to see what they've each created for today! And be sure to stop at the IO shop for these fun new dies plus all kinds of summer goodness for your craft projects. Thanks so much for stopping by today! xoxo
