Today marks the beginning of a new monthly challenge on the Impression Obsession blog, and the theme is You're a HOOT! So how could I not get crafty with my favorite funky owls

Today's cards feature one standard card, and the other is a slimline card (3.5x8.5-inches) I love how the owls worked for the slimline card, and it was fun creating this tall skinny scene with tree branches and birds. I never would have fit this layout on a standard size card! For the background, I just sponged some blue ink on and then stamped the tree branches directly onto the card. Next I paper-pieced the owls and word bubble to add on top. (I paper-pieced the eyes too, and added them on top of each owl.) Craft a slimline card with owl stamps from Impression Obsession. I loved crafting this tall skinny card (3.5x8.5-inches) with this outdoor scene. First I added some color to the background panel and then assembled three owls and branches onto the card. Next up,  there's not much social distancing between the owl pals on the next card, but they're so cozy on this die cut frame that we'll let it pass. . .this one time, okay guys? For this card, I created the owls the same way - just stamped onto colored cardstock and fussy cut. Then I stamped again on white cardstock and cut out the eyes to add on top. I actually added some glaze to the eyes for some shine but it really didn't show in these pictures.

Alright my friends - This is your chance to pull out the owls or any birds in your IO stamp stash and craft up a real TWEET card for the latest challenge. (I'm sorry, I can't help myself with the owl puns!) The challenge runs through November 10th so you have time to get CRAFTY and add your card on the Impression Obsession blog. One lucky winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to the shop - and it might be YOU!

I mentioned it yesterday, but the Who Loves You stamp set is being discontinued and it's an AMAZING price. Especially because this is a 4x8 clear photopolymer stamp set. Most are 4x6 - so you get a little extra with these larger sets. You might have noticed I really REALLY love this stamp set, so I don't want you to miss out on it! Grab it while it's still in stock.

And while you're there, check out the rest of the sale section of the IO website because there are quite a few great deals to swoop in on. (Sorry. Owl Puns. Can't Stop.)

Thanks so much for coming by today! I hope you have a HOOT crafting up some cards for the latest challenge at Impression Obsession! xoxo
