MORE New Slimline Scenes Stamps for Holiday Cards {part 2}

Just in case you missed it . . .I have BIG news! Impression Obsession has a brand new collection of slimline stamps, called Slim Scenes, and they're just in time for holiday card making. In honor of the occasion, the IO designers are sharing inspiration with these new stamps and we've got LOTS of slimline sweetness to share!

If you're new to the slimline card trend, check out yesterday's post for a quick rundown. Basically, a slimline card is long and skinny to fit in a standard size business envelope. Handy dandy, yes?!

The new Slim Scenes collection of stamps are 8.25-inches long. It's important to note: You will probably need a stamping tool like a MISTI for these stamps. So far, I haven't seen a clear block large enough for these 8.25-inch long stamps. Using a stamping platform makes it so much easier to use large stamps anyway because you can stamp, re-ink and stamp again to get a really rich and complete stamped image.

For this sweet Santa card, first I stamped Snowy Night on white cardstock. Then, I stamped Santa with Sleigh on top, along with a long, skinny Winter Greeting sentiment. I added on a few enamel hearts and that is honestly IT. This is such a simple card, but layering stamped images gives it more interest and depth - in such an easy way!

I have one more card to share with you today. It features the same Snowy Night background, but it looks very different in a darker shade of blue. On this card I stamped the solid Town stamp on a separate piece of white cardstock. I fussy cut it and added it onto the card with foam squares for some added dimension. It was tricky to photograph, but the strip below the town is silver metallic washi tape. (Maybe it's an iced-over river along the street?) These cards were so much fun to make, because these are the first products I have that are SPECIALLY made for slimline cards. Such a treat!
