It is Thanksgiving week, my crafty friends! Today, let's look at two fall ideas plus a technique that you can use all year long. There are pies to bake and a turkey to dress, so let's get right to it!

Today's first card features a pretty fun little technique with so many possibilities. This background is perfect to highlight smaller stamped images on a handmade card. Best of all, you can change up the colors and use this idea all year long, not just on cozy fall cards.
On the photo below, you'll see the template I made for this card. To try out this technique, follow these steps:
- Die cut three circles from a piece of cardstock.
- Lay die-cut cardstock over a card front as a stencil. (Add a little washi tape to keep panel in place if needed.)
- Sponge ink across each circle. (I used Cool Pool, Pumpkin Bread, and Haystack ink from Spellbinders.)
Think of all the possibilities even just at this point - change up the die cut shape, the number of shapes - there are so many ways to customize this idea!
- Next, stamp and die cut images for each circle focal point. After stamping, I used the same colors of ink to add color to the stamped/die cut images.
- A simple sentiment and a few embellishments finished off this card.
Next, I have another card featuring this same stamp set. It's called the Let's Get Cozy Stamp Set (and coordinating dies) from Spellbinders.
This card is much more straight forward. Just stamp, die cut, and layer it together. Some of my favorite parts of this card are the strip of corrugated cardstock, the embossed background, and the gold twine. (It ties bows so beautifully!)
In case you've missed it, the Spellbinders Hello Holiday's Sale is happening NOW. This is our Black Friday sale and there are AMAZING deals. It's a great time to stock up on your favorite consumable products, and snag some new favorites while they're on sale. Find embellishment for as little as ONE DOLLAR! (Whaaaaaat!?) I'm so glad you stopped by today. I hope your Thanksgiving week is filled with beautiful things and you find much to be thankful for! I'll be back throughout the week with a few more fall and winter projects!
