Hey there crafty peeps! Today's card are holly jolly, festive and fun! We'll to look at two cards today - they're both basically the same, except one is a standard sized card and the other is a slimline. Plus, I'll introduce you to my friends, Kringle and St. Nick!

Click here to see two different versions of basically the same festive and fun Christmas card. One version is a standard card size and the other is a slimline Christmas card. Using stamps, and dies from Impression Obsession you can make creative and unique holiday cards and crafts. Click to see more ideas and inspiration!

I thought it would be fun to compare two similar card making ideas, one a standard 4.25x5.5-inch card, plus the ever-trendy slimline size. (Usually I make slimline cards 3.5x8.5 but I think this one is a little shorter.) These two festive Nordic friends are the perfect pals for today's cards because one friend is quite a bit taller than the other! Both cards also feature a new background stamp from the Slim Scenes collection. The Snowy Night stamp is actually quite long, and could fit long-ways on a slimline card, but as you can see, it works perfectly for smaller or skinny cards too.

Season's Greetings holiday slimline card with the St. Nick stamp from Impression Obsession. Make a long skinny Christmas card that fits in a standard business envelope. This fun slim line size card is so trendy right now! Click to see ideas for festive Christmas cards using stamps and dies, on my blog.
To begin each card, I first stamped the background (using a MISTI, because it's the best way to use the large Slim Scenes stamps.) Next I stamped and colored St. Nick and Kringle, plus the Nordic Tree. I used watercolor pencils in pretty traditional Christmas shades of red and green.

Both cards got red card bases, and then I added sentiments onto the snowy ground. The images were attached with foam squares for a bit of dimension and then some simple embellishments finished off the cards. I love looking at these cards together, and I love them each on their own too.
