A Merry Little Winter Bird House Card {Impression Obsession Holiday Card Hop}

Getting the most from our craft supplies is important - because craft supplies don't usually grow on trees. Using non-Christmas product for holiday cards is a great way to stretch supplies and give them a fresh new look. Today we'll look at a not-Christmasy birdhouse die set from Impression Obsession, and give it a winter twist! It's part of our two-day Holiday Card Hop, and there's lots of inspiration to enjoy!

Look at this adorable die set! It has great texture and the cut-out openings can be left open or mix and match colors. I die cut this set from three different colors and them mixed/matched the pieces to tie the colors together. 

Birdhouse Set

Yesterday (during day one of our Holiday Card Hop) I shared cards featuring the Winter Foliage die set. I told you it's a great way to dress up holiday cards . . .and here's further proof! A few sprigs of holly and pine, and this card is instantly festive! 

I used one more non-holiday die to finish this scene. The Wave Edges die set is perfect for summer cards, featuring a variety of waves for beachy ocean themed cards. But one of the dies in this set makes the perfect snowy hills. (I use it for grassy backgrounds too!) A die cut Merry completed this festive card.
