Do you love the look of stitching on handmade cards, but you don't have the patience to actually DO it? If so, you're going to love the faux stitching on today's card, which makes it quick and simple to add stitched details and texture to your cards and paper crafts.

Today's card is all about the background. I used Impression Obsession's Border Stitching 2 die set, which is a set of 5 individual dies. When you receive die sets, the dies are often attached to each other, and can be separated with wire snips. These dies come together as shown in the photo above, in a neat little row. For today's card, I didn't separate the dies - I just die cut my background using all 5 dies at once, and then picked them up and die cut again to cover the panel. At some point, I'll probably separate them, so that I can use them individually, but this was a fun way to start out playing with these dies! (You could certainly create this same look once they're snipped apart, by lining up the dies and taping them in place.)
After creating a unique stitched background, I added some simple hexagon quilt blocks and a sentiment. (I love the stitched edges of these dies.)
