Let's look at the first card, featuring the One day at a time sentiment, plus that awesome Get Well Soon block shaped image. To create this card, I did a little scavenging through my trash. (WHAT?! Yes.) I had a piece of clear acetate from some packaging, and it made the perfect DIY stencil to add color to the stamped images. Here's what to do:
  • Stamp the Get Well Soon image onto a piece of scrap paper, and lay clear acetate on top.
  • Use an Exacto knife or scissors to cut a square from the acetate to match the stamped image.
  • Lay the stencil onto a cardstock panel, and add ink through the square using a blending brush or sponge dauber.
  • Last, stamp the Get Well Soon box over each of the inked squares. (This technique is so easy peasy when working with clear stamps!)

How cute is the sentiment for today's second card?! "Heard you are feelin' sheepish!" This stamp set has the most adorable sheep to coordinate with the sentiments. And white sheep are so quick and easy to color! I just added a few marker details, plus gel pen accents and then fussy cut it and assembled this card.
