Colorful Halloween Crafting {Journey Gel Press}

Hello friends! I created a really fun Halloween card using some of the cutest Halloween stamps you've ever seen, (Hallows Eve from Fun Stampers Journey) along with the Gel Press. I am having SO much fun playing with Re-Inkers on the Gel Press. It's easier to clean up than paint, and there are such fun techniques in blending colors and adding some splashes of FSJ Silks
To create this card, choose 5 Re-Inkers (I used Cosmic Grape, Grape Fusion, Turbo Teal, Electric Lime, and Sour Lemon.)

Dot rows of each color onto the Gel Press, and brayer them into a colorful ombre. (TIP: Place colors next to each other that will blend nicely and not become muddy colors. Brayer just until the colors have filled the Gel Press.)

Next, pull a print on Whip Cream cardstock. This will be cardstock that you'll stamp images on. (If you look at the image above, you'll see my prints in the background.)

Use Black Licorice ink to stamp the haunted house TWICE, once in the purple area, and once on the green/teal area. Then, stamp the bare tree and the cutie pie witch girl.

Do a little fussy cutting and cut out the house from the purple area, and trim just the windows from the green/teal. Glue the windows onto the purple house.

Once all the elements are stamped, it's time to create the background on the Gel Press. Give it a quick wipe down, and then dot Turbo Teal Re-Inker, and brayer it out.  Before pulling a print, splatter the Gel Press with Sparkle Silk. The Silk resists the Re-Inker a little bit, and spreads out - it looks REALLY cool! TIP: If you pull a print and the color is lighter than you want - repeat and pull another print right on top.

Layer together all the elements of your scene, and add a strip of Sparkle Tape to ground the house.

What do you think!? My challenge now is to MAIL all the fun Halloween cards I've been making lately! The bright colors and bold shapes of Halloween themed cards really appeal to me...but I hardly ever SEND Halloween cards. I think this is the year to do it! Thanks so much for stopping by today! xoxo
