soakin' in the summer

I seem to keep flitting back and forth between summer cards, and CHRISTMAS cards. . .. so today, we are back to SUMMERTIME! It's a LITTLE comforting seeing the autumn decorations out at the craft stores now . . . .but unfortunately fall weather is still quite a ways away down here in Florida. (At least we're heading in the right direction though!)

Part of my giant stack of paper I am FORCING myself to use up, before accumulating another single scrap of paper, is this darling paper from Sassafrass Lass. I am such a fan of Sassafrass Lass lately. And this card was so simple. . . .I just put a bunch of scrap strips together, and matted it on some Core'dinations Cardstock, and added my stamped images. I stamped the lantern image in black, but then paper-pieced them in other colors, popping some up on foam tape.

This card makes me ready for an evening BBQ, and some smores toasting in the firepit. Want to join me!?

I love Sass too and I know what you mean about using up what you have before buying anymore. LOL! I am a strict adhesive and white cardstock budget. I like the paper piecing you did with the lanterns. Super cute!
