How to Jumpstart Creativity with 3 Simple Steps {Fun Stampers Journey}

Hello friends! I'm over on the Fun Stampers Journey blog today with my top secret process for getting out of a crafty funk. You know those days that you completely lose your creative mojo? (I know you know what I mean!)

Over on the blog I shared the 3 steps, as well as 3 different cards made with the Anchor Me stamp set. If you haven't been over there, I'll wait . . . go check it out - and then come RIGHT BACK HERE.

Okay - back in business now? You've learned my three step process to jumpstart your crafty motivation again, and as promised I have three MORE cards here on my blog today.

I used the same stamp set, but three different colors for these cards.
All three cards are pretty simple - because that's an important part of this process for me. When my crafty mojo has taken a hiatus, it helps me relax to just get a few cards DONE. No fancy techniques, no pressure to get anything perfect. Simply accomplishing something somehow reminds the creative part of my brain that I still know how to do this!
 (In case you haven't noticed from previous projects, I still cannot stop using My Sunshine. Seriously, that die set looks perfect with all.the.things.) For these three cards, I chose Huckleberry Fusion, Pool Play, Sweet Berry, and Peaches and Cream for my color palette. I'm digging my crazy colored sunshine.
I had a lot of fun with the Anchor Me Stamp Set. I love the bold lines of the stamps - its so easy to cut out the images, and it makes it fun to paper-piece like I did on this lighthouse. This stamp set was retired for quite a while, but it's been re-released into the FSJ + Spellbinders shop, and I highly recommend it!

This last card was probably the most "technique-y" but really not really. ;) I stamped the anchor in Pool Play ink onto Pool Play cardstock. Then I stamped the sentiment over top to add some more pattern to the background. But then, because I didn't want TOO much background showing, I added a layer of vellum.

I'd love to know what you think about my rule-making process to jumpstarting creativity. (You DID read the post on the FSJ blog, right?) Do you have any tips for restoring your craftabilities when your inspiration tanks? I always need all the suggestions I can get - so help a girl out! Leave me a comment and let's help each other stay crafty every day! xoxo
