Drink Coffee and Make Stuff {Coffee Lover's Blog Hop}

Hello crafty friends! Do you love coffee? Love to drink coffee, and smell coffee and eat coffee-flavored ice cream? And go to the local coffeeshop? What about making craft projects about coffee? Yes to ALL for me! Therefore, I'm so happy to celebrate the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop this week!

Today's project features stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs, and they're one of the sponsors of this fun blog hop! Yay!

So, who remembers the crazy Unicorn Frappuccinos that Starbucks offered a while back? My kids were dying to try them, but by the time I gave in, everyone was sold out. I didn't hear the end of THAT for a LONG time. But in honor of those fun colorful drinks, today's card was inspired by those crazy unicorn Frappuccinos. (And yes, I know technically they didn't have coffee in them, but let's pretend, for the sake of cute crafts and coffee cups.)

To make this colorful drink, I started off with a marbling technique using shaving cream.  Have you ever tried that?! It is SO much fun. You can find more information about this fun idea on this blog post.  You can use any colors you want, but the sheet I made with Watermelon Fusion, Lavender Fusion, and Cool Pool from FSJ inspired my unicorn frap! I stamped the cup image and did just a bit of paper-piecing to add some white whip cream. (Because what's a frap without the whip, amIright?)
For the sentiment, I wanted to make a faux chalkboard look, so I started with a panel of black cardstock. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment. (Seriously, isn't that an adorable sentiment!?) Then I used a white colored pencil and added some lines and details around the edges.
