How to Add Colorful Watercolor Flowers on a Simple Card

Hello, my crafty friends! It's Old Is New Day over on the Impression Obsession blog. It's easy (and fun) to keep adding the latest and greatest stamps and dies, but let's not forget about the older and well-loved products too. The Old Is New blog hop celebrates those stamps and dies in our stash that have been faithfully loved!

For today's card I pulled out a really fun floral stamp called Jay's Flower. It's a large stamp that fills almost the whole length of a 5.5-inch card. I had fun coloring this garden image with watercolor pencils after I embossed it in black. I kept the color loose and flowy so there was no stress to color every bit perfectly. (Who wants that kind of stress, right?)
The Hello clear stamp set and coordinating die are the perfect companions to this card. The mix and match sentiments along with the larger "hello" stamp or die are really fun for a variety of cards. It's definitely a set I use again and again in my stash.
Thanks so much for stopping by today - and now, head to the Impression Obsession blog to find a link list of the designers participating in Old Is New! I'm sure they have some fabulous oldies-but-goodies to share with you!

Would you like to see Jay's Flower used in a totally different way? Stop by and see what a different look it can have, with a different stamping technique!

Laura,
It's interesting too see your color take on the Reach for the Stars card you created. Many cards are night skies with darker colors. You choice of Sweet Pear, Cool Pool, and Pretty Amethyst are relaxing and could easily be an early morning or early evening sky - soft, inviting and embracing. I can't wait to try these colors of liquid color on cards.
