It's Snow Time! {Join the latest Impression Obsession Challenge}

Is it snowy and cold where you live? Or do you WISH it was snowy and cold? Florida is QUITE chilly (for us anyway) right now, so it's the perfect time to celebrate the brisk start of December with this COLD WEATHER cardmaking idea. Ready to take a look?

For today's card I used the Holiday Tree clear stamp set. These trees were so much fun to color with colored pencils. I used a few shades of blues, aquas, and a little bit of purple to make my trees feel cold and snowy without being plain white.

The background of my snowy scene was simple with the Snowfall Die. Isn't it FUN!? I love anything with polka dots, so although this might TECHNICALLY be snow, think of all the fun backgrounds you could make with this. (Bubbles, confetti, polka dots...) After I diecut the panel, I sponged aqua ink over it to add some color.

Sidenote: This sweet Holiday Trees stamp set was designed by Lindsay Ostrom. She is one of my favorite illustrators and hand lettering artists. I actually obsessed over one of her lettering books when I was a teenager, and didn't realize until recently that it was hers! She has a BRAND NEW book out, and I gotta give a shout out! Grab your copy of the Creative Hand Lettering with Lindsay book here, and join in at Lindsay's Hand Lettering Facebook group! Plus, find all of Lindsay's stamps at Impression Obsession HERE.

Over on the IO blog, you'll find a list of the design team members who are sharing some more SNOWY  inspiration!
