Warm Wishes - A Cactus Christmas Card

Looking for a handmade card idea for a warm weather friend? Or maybe YOU are the warm weather friend, and you'd like to send a Christmas card that looks a little more like where you live. Today's card is PERFECT to send some WARM wishes for Christmas, complete with a holiday cactus

The Holiday Cactus stamp from Impression Obsession is a single stamp that you can purchase on it's own. The size is perfect to fill up a card base with some simple embellishments and a holiday sentiment. Isn't the warm wishes stamp the perfect complement? It's another single stamp you can grab from the IO shop. I love the option to purchase individual stamps because I can pick exactly the stamps and sentiments I want.

I used colored pencils to color most of this image (with just a touch of watercolor on the lights.) With so much going on in this festive stamped image, I kept the rest of the card pretty simple and I love the bright cheery colors!
Today's post is part of  Old Is New day over on the Impression Obsession blog. It's easy (and fun) to play with the latest and greatest stamps and dies, but we want to find new ways to use our older and well-loved products too. The Old Is New blog hop celebrates the stamps and dies in our stash that have been faithfully loved!

Thanks so much for stopping by today - and now, head to the Impression Obsession blog to find a link list of the designers participating in Old Is New! I'm sure they have some fabulous oldies-but-goodies to share with you!
