Do you have some best friends? Like the really die-hard friends through thick and thin? The ones you call at any hour of the night? The ones that GET you even when you're worrying about something ridiculous? They tell you you're not crazy, but then they pick you up by your bootstraps and help you get on with it? They are solid GOLD. And today we're celebrating our BEST FRIENDS in the latest cardmaking challenge at Impression Obsession.
Today my card is a little non-traditional for besties . . .but we'll pretend that even chicken mamas have best friends and here they are. Please meet the chicken girlfriends, Gertrude, Ginny, and Greta. Seriously, those are their names - CUTEST, right!?

I had some fun coloring these PINK ladies with colored pencils. I went with unrealistic colors for them, and I think the PINK adds to the GIRLFRIEND feel of this card. The rest of the card is super simple so our besties can stay center stage! The yellow patterned paper compliments the yellow details on the chicks and yellow enamel dots add a finishing touch, without distracting.
And now, my crafty besties, it's YOUR TURN. Dig through your stash of Impression Obsession stamps and dies, and see what you have that works for the latest challenge, Best Friends! Then link it up at the IO blog because you might just win a gift certificate to the shop! Over on the blog, you'll also find a list of the design team members who are sharing some bestie themed cards to kick off the challenge.
Don't have any Impression Obsession stamps and dies? I hate to be an enabler, but you really should check out their shop - every time I look, I see something I never noticed before. They have a HUGE selection, in EVERY style and theme! (#sorrynotsorry)
