Hey there crafty peeps! Today's card are holly jolly, festive and fun! We'll to look at two cards today - they're both basically the same, except one is a standard sized card and the other is a slimline. Plus, I'll introduce you to my friends, Kringle and St. Nick!

I thought it would be fun to compare two similar card making ideas, one a standard 4.25x5.5-inch card, plus the ever-trendy slimline size. (Usually I make slimline cards 3.5x8.5 but I think this one is a little shorter.) These two festive Nordic friends are the perfect pals for today's cards because one friend is quite a bit taller than the other! Both cards also feature a new background stamp from the Slim Scenes collection. The Snowy Night stamp is actually quite long, and could fit long-ways on a slimline card, but as you can see, it works perfectly for smaller or skinny cards too.
To begin each card, I first stamped the background (using a MISTI, because it's the best way to use the large Slim Scenes stamps.) Next I stamped and colored St. Nick and Kringle, plus the Nordic Tree. I used watercolor pencils in pretty traditional Christmas shades of red and green.
