Today's first card is sweet as can be for Easter, but it would be perfect all season long, even for a new mama or a thinking of you card. The best part about this sweet card is that it's a perfect use for all those patterned paper scraps you have saved up! Mix and match for a fun patchwork effect as the background for your card.
Next up, a SUPER FUN project - the exploding envelope! Start with a scoring board and make an envelope - but don't seal it up, because the envelope becomes the card! Fill it with tags, little pockets, and bits of this and that for a festive crafty gift.

Peep Peep Peep! Look at these chickies! This card began with the adorable chicks stamped on a white cardstock panel. It was a little too distracting from the colorful chicks, but a layer of vellum softened up the background perfectly. It's a great technique when your background is just a little too much.
How about a shaped card? This is a super fun idea for Easter cards. Use a large oval die to cut out two egg shapes. Fold in the top edge of one, and add a little adhesive. Sandwich the other egg on top and you have an egg-shaped card base! If you want it to stand up, you'll need to get creative - but this strip of die cut grass did the trick for a flat bottom! Then, embellish that beautiful egg with washi tape, paper scraps, and flowers.
Next up, how about a tunnel card? You'll want to pull out your shaped nesting dies for this card idea. Die cut concentric shapes from panels of cardstock and then get the foam squares ready to make this EXTRA dimensional. Add Easter elements in between the ovals to bring your scene to life! Simple colored pencils and bold black and white plaid paper are all it took to highlight the darling Miss Whiskers stamp. I finished it off with a die cut scalloped circle, a flower and tag.
And speaking of bunnies, the Bunny Trio die set is adorable for Easter cards and crafts. Get two for one with this card idea. Die cut white bunnies from a cardstock panel. Add the bunnies to one card and use the remaining panel for a second card!
Last but not least, this simple Easter Wishes card features a subtly stamped egg background. It adds just enough pattern and color to the card without distracting from the bold sentiment strip and darling stamped images. (And hello, did you catch that bunny paperclip? Sweetest!!!)
