A Pretty Pink Card {Be Brave: Create Hope Card Drive}

Hello friends! I make a lot of cards . . .do you? (You probably wouldn't be reading this blog if you didn't!) I often have shoeboxes filled with cards that I've created, and they don't always get mailed as often as they should. Part of the reason so many crafters love to make cards is because it feels good to GIVE THEM AWAY. It's sharing the love. So will you join me in creating some cards, or grabbing some already-made cards from your stash, to share the love with others?

The Journey Crew at Fun Stampers Journey are collecting cards for our first ever Be Brave: Create Hope Card Drive. The cards will be shared through local agencies to those battling breast cancer, as well as their very important caregivers, family members and support system.  All of the information to participate is below - I hope you'll join us during the month of October, and help us reach our goal of collecting 300 cards. . .we're well on our way! (I bet we can even surpass that goal!)

(card's full supply list can be found here, on the FSJ blog

Today's card was featured on the Fun Stampers Journey blog a few weeks ago, but it's just perfect for today's post. I have been having fun exploring watercolor techniques with the Fun Stampers Journey reinkers. To create the pink splash, I applied drops of Sweet Berry and Bubble Gum reinkers to an acrylic block. Then I tapped or "kissed" another acrylic block to the first - it blends the inks together, and then I tapped that onto the white cardstock block. After heat setting it (an important step) I stamped the flower in Black Licorice ink over the top, and then added a splash of our Bubble Gum Silk.  (If you aren't familiar with the FSJ Silks. . .let me tell you they are FUN.

And now, all the details on the Be Brave: Create Hope Card Drive:
