Sending Hugs Clean and Simple Floral Card Idea {Lil' Inker Designs}

Hello friends! How about a clean and simple handmade card to send hugs to someone special? Today's card is easy to mass-produce, and it's perfect for any occasion that hugs are necessary. I created this card with Mother's Day in mind - but really, it's perfect all year long. A friend needs encouragement? Send them crafty hugs. A friend lost someone they love? Send them crafty hugs. It's the end of the school year and your teacher pal is at the end of her rope? Send her crafty hugs (and coffee.) It's time to tell your mom, aunt, sister, friend that you love her? SEND HER CRAFTY HUGS. Are you with me? All. Year. Long.
I purposely kept this card flat and ready for mailing, so I kept the layers and embellishments minimal. Want to recreate this? It'll work with most of your floral stamp sets, and it's a fun layout to play with. (Or at the end of this post, I'll link up the ABSOLUTELY adorable stamps I used from Lil' Inker Designs, because you might need them yourself!) ;)
First, fold a couple of white card bases. Then use a sponge dauber to gently ink some light blue ink across the center of the card. (I used Cool Pool from FSJ.)
Next, stamp some flowers in whatever colors you love and detail cut or die-cut them. Whenever I don't have dies for something, I like to cut while I'm watching TV or sitting in the school car-line. I don't mind cutting, and I weirdly sort of like it. I recommend stamping and cutting for however many cards you plan to make all at once and get those jobs done for the whole card set. This is a good time to stamp and cut a large sentiment word. (Or you might have a die-cut word that would be perfect!)
Then, stamp lines across the lower portion of the card. These stripes are from the Cozy Plaid stamp set, but if you don't have this, think about what stripey stamps you might have - or grab a ruler and draw your own! (You could also use a strip of patterned paper or cardstock.)
Last, assemble everything together. Lay out your flowers, and cut sentiment. I stamped the word "Sending" right onto my card. I used foam tape for the word "hugs" but everything else is glued right to my card base. A few simple sequins and a splatter of FSJ Silk finished off the card.
