How to Make a Colorful Birthday Shaker Card {Lil' Inker Designs}

Hey there my sweet friends! I'm so happy you came by my crafty little piece of the world today - because we're having a PARTY! I have the sweetest birthday shaker card to share with you today, and it features new stamps from Lil' Inker Designs. Today is Day 1 of our 3 day blog hop celebrating the June release of stamps and dies. That's right - three days of new crafty goodness. Ready to get the party started?

(This post contains affiliate links. If you shop through my links, I may receive compensation at no cost to you. Thanks from the bottom of my crafty heart!)

Here's how to make this birthday shaker card:

  1. Die cut the Quilted Stitched Stepping Stones die from a panel of white cardstock. Trim it just slightly smaller than a bright-colored card base.
  2. Use a sponge dauber to add aqua ink to the center of panel, making a circle shape.
  3. Make the circle frame by die-cutting two consecutive sized circles together.
  4. Die-cut a circle from a clear acetate sheet. Adhere it behind the circle frame.
  5. Add a border of foam tape or foam squares along entire back-side of frame.
  6. Dump a pile of star confetti onto the center of the inked panel.
  7. Adhere circle frame to card, over the confetti. Be sure to press down and seal the foam tape all the way around.
Then add stamped and embossed party animals and colorful enamel dots to complete the card!

Next up, I used the Cake Party stamps again but I paired it with this ABSOLUTELY stinkin' ADORABLE Happy Birthday to You Die. This is all one die and it cuts SO beautifully. I'll be sticking  this sentiment onto ALL.THE.CARDS. (well - all the BIRTHDAY cards anyway!)

Thanks so much for coming by today. I hope you'll stop by all of the designers' blogs and enjoy their beautiful crafty projects - and then check back tomorrow, because this is only day 1 of our THREE DAY hop! Plus, if you comment along the way you'll be eligible to WIN the entire new release! (Comments close at 11:30pm on July 3, 2019.)

Black & white critters on the pretty shaker card is genius. Gives a whole new take on the stamp set, as well as making special patterned paper using this same set. Cool.
