How to Make a Set of Clean and Simple Cards for Gifts

Do you love to make cards? (Of course you do - or you likely wouldn't be reading this blog.)

And if you love to make cards you have probably experienced one or both of the following:
a.) you make sets of cards to give as gifts
b.) friends, family and acquaintances know of your mad card-making skills and they say, "Can you make me some (fill in the blank: birthday, thank you, get well soon etc.) cards?" And you, being the awesome cardmaker that you are, happily oblige.

Am I correct?

And at that point, you need a simple design and simple supplies to pull together an assortment of cards. Today's card is a perfect idea for such a set. I'll show you some tips and tricks to bring together your cards quickly and easily so that you can have FUN while you create. Are you ready?
Today's card is so simple, it hardly needs any discussion at all. But there's one important element to this card - okay, maybe there's two, that seals the deal on both EASY and CUTE. (It also ticks the box on clean and simple, minimal supplies, plus flat and mailable.)

1. Pick Three Colors

Neutrals like black, white, and gray don't count, but after that keep your color palette simple. I chose Sweet Berry, Summer Days, and Turbo Teal for this card set. If all of your cards share a cohesive palette, they'll look great together when you package them up as a set. Plus - it just keeps it simple.

2. Die Cut it All

This die set allowed the cards to come together quickly  because I die cut all of the dies at one time for each color. (These particular dies come attached together, and ready to crank through the machine all in one swoop!) I chose this set because I knew the wreath as well as the flowers would look darling in yellow, in pink, or in teal. Then, I simply mixed and matched the flowers onto each wreath to use all three colors.

A simple stamped sentiment, and some enamel dots finished off each card. You can totally pull this together in no time at all!

Today's post is part of Impression Obsession's Die Cut Obsession Blog Hop. The design team is sharing die cutting magic today, and I hope you'll head over to the IO blog and find the list of participants! I can't wait to see what they've each created for today!
