Hey crafty friends! Do you like to party? I'm pretty sure you like to party the same way I do . . .by doing something creative or crafty (preferably while in your pajamas and eating chocolate, but that's besides the point.) Today the design team at IO is celebrating this month's release with a Favorites blog hop where we're sharing our favorite project from the release. I have a LOT of favorites for this month, but today we'll look at this fun watercolor card.
To begin this card, I stamped the watercolor palette and brush (it's all one large stamp - so cool, right?) onto watercolor paper. I used my MISTI for this so I could get a nice dark impression even on the textured paper. (I'm fairly new to the MISTI, but that's one of my favorite uses for it so far - being able to restamp in the same spot for a really inky impression.)

After I stamped the image, I just had a whole lot of fun with watercolor. I used my favorite watercolor tin and loosely painted the sections of the palette and then added some colorful spots of color all over the card. I finished it off with a splatter of Sparkle Silk.
A stamped sentiment and a little scrap of patterned paper finished off the card - this card was so simple and fun to create. (Which I'd like to add, PROVES the statement - that staying home and painting IS my kind of party!)
