Today's card starts out with the striped background. But don't worry - it's easy to create these stripes using the Watercolor Lines background stamp from Impression Obsession. To create this look, draw lines of re-inker or liquid ink onto a nonporous surface. (I used water soluble liquid dye ink.) If you're using something water-soluble, like dye ink, spritz with water, to help the colors blend. (This will still look great if you use hybrid or pigment ink, just don't mix with water!) Press stamp into the "ink pad" you created and the stamp will pick up all the gorgeous colors you used. I stuck with three colors on this card - be sure to choose colors that will blend nicely into each other.
Today's blog post is part of Die Cut Obsession Day on the Impression Obsession blog. It's the day we celebrate the awesome dies in our crafty stash - so let's talk about today's die. The Big Thanks die is a fun bold die to add to a card. It cuts beautifully, and it's easy to work with. I added the sentiment to a die cut rectangle to make it pop. Paired with the bold stripes, this card is DONE.

If you want to make a whole batch of these cards, I suggest cutting out all the sentiments (and background rectangles) at one time. Cutting the sentiment from black cardstock will help it to match with any color combinations you choose. Then, have some fun with liquid inks and color combos to make those bold faux watercolor stripes.
