A handmade Halloween card that is black with a lime green border. There are two stamped skeletons that are embossed in white. There is a large die cut sentiment, from white cardstock, that says "Eeek!" There are white iridescent sequins scattered across the Halloween card. The stamps and dies are from Impression Obsession. In this photo, the card is resting on a purple envelope, and a black & white gingham tray.
You might remember these wacky and wild skeletons from a card I shared earlier in the month. There are 5 skeletons total, and each are sold separately so you can pick your favorites, or grab the whole skeleton crew! I chose two of the skeletons and embossed them on the black cardstock, which really makes them POP! This card is so simple - all it needed was the large die-cut sentiment that says "Eeek!" and a splatter of glitter and sequins. Clean and simple Halloween goodness!
This photos is of a handmade Halloween card made with stamping and die-cutting. The base is black cardstock with a thin lime green matting. There are two skeletons stamped and embossed in white. There is a large die-cut sentiment that says "Eeek!" and the card is finished off with a scattering of white iridescent sequins. All of the stamps and dies are from Impression Obsession.
The next card features an adorable clear stamp set called Cat Trio.  (If you love it, be sure to check out the Spider Trio, Ghost Trio, and Bat Trio! Each of the Trio sets also has coordinating dies available.) To create this card, you'll need to do some simple masking.
  • First, die cut or punch a small circle for the moon. You'll use both the positive and negative shape you create. Use the negative space as a stencil and ink up the circle to create the moon. Then, use the circle as a mask to block off the moon while you create the clouds.
  • Die cut the Cloud Border Die from cardstock. You'll use this as a stencil. Lay it towards the lowest area you want to create clouds and then ink under the scalloped cloud edge with gray or blue ink.
  • Slide the stencil up, and add more inking. Slide the stencil slightly from side to side and/or at an angle to give the clouds different looks. Keep repeating until you get to the top of the cardstock.
  • Blend additional ink if desired.
This image is a handmade Halloween card with a stamped cat in black ink. The cat is standing in black grass under a cloudy moonlit sky, created with inking and handmade stencils. The sentiment says "Don't be a scaredy cat."The background I created was light enough that I could stamp my black cat right on top. Then I added a strip of die cut grass - cut from black cardstock of course! I used a colored pencil to add a bit of yellow to the cat's eyes, and finished it off with a simple sentiment.
