Photo Pocket Scrapbooking Vol. 2 {Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine}

Hello friends! Today, Photo Pocket Scrapbooking, Vol. 2 hits newsstands! This is the final print issue from Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine. Photo Pocket Scrapbooking, Vol. 1 was so popular, we got started right away on a volume 2. I am so happy to share two projects that I have published in this issue - and you may notice, neither of them are photo pocket pages - but rather, I used photo pocket supplies on each. Even if you aren't on board with photo pocket style scrapbooking, there is still so much to offer in this issue!

I'm especially thrilled to share this layout, because I don't actually do a whole lot of scrapbooking anymore, and I really love this layout! PLUS, it's my children, along with my best friend's children - and today is my best friend's birthday! This is a pretty cool way to celebrate her!

I used paper, journaling cards, and stickers from Simple Stories - it's the DIY Boutique Collection. {I super-puffy-sparkly HEART this collection!}

Also in this issue, I have this card that I created while I designed for On Cherry Street. OCS is a monthly kit sold at Sweet Stamp Shop, and this was from the Magical kit.  I used a journaling card from the kit for the card front, and I die cut hearts and stars from the card, and then I popped the whole thing up on foam tape with gold cardstock underneath.

Look for Photo Pocket Scrapbooking, Vol. 2 on newsstands NOW,  or get in in the Scrap & Paper Shop - you can order the print version, or instantly download the digital version.  Let's show F+W Media how much we flipping LOVED our magazines, and let's buy this issue like CRAZY. (Hey - it would be a great Christmas gift for your crafty friends and family!)

a SWEET blog hop {On Cherry Street/Sweet Stamp Shop}

Hello sweet friends! Today is a SWEET little blog hop! We are celebrating the release of Sweet Stamp Shop's new kits, called On Cherry Street. (If you're just starting here, visit the Sweet Stamp Shop blog to begin the hop, and to check out the full scoop!)

This month is all about the magic of fairy tales. The stamps coordinate with the On Cherry Street kit, and the kit coordinates with the stamps! Each OCS kit contains over 35 pieces . . . .wooden embellishments, journaling cards, buttons, and even an exclusive stamp set. (Yes, that stamp set is in addition to the Sweet releases for the month, and you can only get it in the kit!) I know you're excited, but stay with me here. . . .the best part - the kit is only $15.95, and it isn't going to disappear at the end of the month!! No club to join,  no commitment. Just more creative and inspiring products to love!

These kits are perfect for photo-pocket scrapbooking. . . .but they are equally perfect for card making and home decor projects. Today's card is pretty over-the-top teeny-bopper, but I am sure I can find a little girl in my life who will love it! (I would have totally loved it when I was 11 years old!)

I'd love to know what you think of the new Magical kit from On Cherry Street! Leave me a comment and share your thoughts! Thanks so much for stopping by! xoxo

You should have come from Jennie's blog.
And if you made it this far, CONGRATS! This is the last stop! Thank you SO much for participating today! We hope you're as excited about On Cherry Street as we are!

Here's the whole blog hop list, just in case you've gotten lost along the way! :)

Crafting with journaling cards {On Cherry Street}

Hello friends! I am blogging over at the Sweet Stamp Shop, and I'm sharing a few projects that I've made with the new On Cherry Street kit. If you haven't stopped by lately, I hope you'll head over there and check out my projects, plus the new stamps and goodies that have been released this month!

Here's a sneak peek of one of the projects I have over on the Sweet blog. I'm talking about die-cutting journaling cards. (And I made a big confession. . . you'll have to go read the blog to see what it is!)

But I promised in my blog post, that I'd have another new project here for you - so here it is, my friends. This is so quick and easy. I used a journaling card from the kit, matted it, and punched a hole in the top corner. Then I threaded some twine through it and tied a quick bow. Adhered to a coordinating gift bag, and it's good to go! I love 5 minute projects, because let's face it - sometimes that's all we have!

You can find all the SWEET details about the July stamps, as well as the On Cherry Street kit over on the Sweet Stamp Shop website. These kits are pretty special, and I'm so excited to see what's to come! And now, don't forget. . .stop by and see me at the Sweet blog!

Make a Wish {Sweet Stamp Shop}

Thought I'd pop in with a card I created with July stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop. These stamps work seamlessly with the July kit from On Cherry Street. On Cherry Street is a new little brand from Sweet Stamp Shop, featuring monthly scrapbooking kits. They contain journaling cards, wood veneer, and even an exclusive stamp set. And it all coordinates with the monthly Sweet stamps, which means more creativity, more possibilities, and more FUN!
The theme for July is all about fairy tales and magic. I had fun making this card - because pink and fairy tales isn't something I often create with! I wish you could see it, but this entire castle is covered in Wink of Stella - it's shimmery and subtle, and adds the perfect magical touch! I paper-pieced this castle together. Yes, it took a little time, but it was totally worth it! My Fancy Pants Be.Loved collection was the perfect paper to pair with this!

Are you tempted? Head over to the Sweet Stamp Shop to check out these new stamps (they're available NOW!) plus the On Cherry Street kit, Magical. Thanks so much for stopping by my friends!

Cheers! {Sweet Stamp Shop}

Summer is flashing by before my eyes, I tell you!
I was feeling guilty because I haven't blogged in a while. The irony is, I have about a million posts scheduled and in progress for the month of July. It's going to be HOPPIN' around here - so bear with me in the meantime! (It won't be long. . .I keep forgetting, July is just a blink away!)

Today, though - I couldn't let another day get away without a little card and a little chat with you! I created this card after the Gallery Idol contest at Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine. The first challenge was to use washi tape on a card, and I was SO blown away by all the entries! So I busted out my washi stash, and created this little card. There are bits of this and that, and I used one of my FAVORITE and most used stamp sets from Sweet Stamp Shop, called Elegant Sentiments.

And since we're chatting about the Sweet. . . .have you heard? Beginning on July 2nd Sweet Stamp Shop is proudly introducing On Cherry Street, a coordinating kit which will match the monthly stamp releases. This kit will be full of journaling cards, embellishments, and even an exclusive stamp set that you can ONLY get in the kit. All for $15.95!! I'm super excited that these kits will continue to be available beyond the month they are released. No membership, and no limited time to purchase.  Awesome, right!?? I'm thrilled that I have been able to work with this kit, and I will have projects to share with you throughout the month of July. (Sorry to taunt and enable you. . . .I can't help myself!)

Alright friends, I've been relieved of my guilt. . . we've chatted. (I've missed you!) I've been crafting up a storm lately, and I can't wait to show you some of what I've been working on for July! It's going to be a fun month! See you on July 1st. Same time, same place. New goodies. Oh yeahhhhhh! xoxo

Say it with Sentiments {Sweet Stamp Shop}

Today marks my last blog post over at the Sweet Stamp Shop. I've loved spending the last three months surrounded by SWEET! And I'm certainly not leaving the SWEET behind - just my official duties as a design team member.

I hope you'll head over there today and visit! We're talking about TEXT today. Fonts, and WORDS are a big deal in the design world these days. Come on over and check out some text-centered cards I've created! Plus you'll find a link to my new Pinterest board, which is appropriately all about typography.

Helllllo, my friends! How are you today? I had such fun sharing a little SWEET sneak peek on the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking blog yesterday. (Click on over, if you missed it!) The good news though, you can go ahead and preorder it, and it will ship around May 27th.

Finding inspiration in the June issue {Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine}

Hello crafty friends!
I'm on the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking blog today, sharing a card I created which is based on two cards from the June issue. I chose a color scheme from one card, and a layout from another and I combined them up into my own creation. If you haven't already, head over to the PC&S blog to see the cards I was inspired by, plus the original card I created.

But then there's this card too. . .you see, as I created, I realized that the little squares of patterned paper that I was trimming were screaming to become a mass produced card set. So that's what I did. I started playing and creating a whole set of coordinating cards using the same layout as Beth Opel's simple, funky card. (I'm telling you. . .GO over to the Paper Crafts blog and check it out!)

Want to hear a secret? (As if you need another reason to head over to the PC&S blog?) The card I created for Paper Crafts is showing off some NEW soon to be released Sweet Stamp Shop stamps. You can see them a day early! In honor of the occasion, Sweet Stamp Shop is offering a prize for one lucky commenter over on that blog post. A $10 gift certificate could be yours! (Plus they're also offering a really great coupon code to all of you lovely blog readers!)

So. . ..
why are you still here?
Go!
(Giggle!)
And thanks for coming by!!!!
xoxo

Won't you join me?!

There may be an octopus wearing a graduation cap involved. (Are you intrigued yet?)
I can't leave you without a picture, so I'll share a sneak peek. . . .

Thanks for stopping by! xoxo

A new month, another new release! {Sweet Stamp Shop}

If you've already stopped by once today, WELCOME BACK! It's a two blog post kinda day, because there's all kinds of good stuff being released today! {Scroll down to see my first post of the day.}

As I'm sitting on a plane or in an airport right now, traveling from Utah back to Florida, you lovelies get to check out the new stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop!

Mr. Octopus is here to help welcome in the Handcrafted stamp set. . . .(can you stand it!? An octopus with art supplies!? ACK!) Handcrafted is a great stamp to personalize the backs of your cards, but as you can see here, it will work for card fronts too! How fun is that!?

Next up, I'd like to introduce a new furry friend to the Sweet collection. Please meet Stinky Skunk. But as you can see, we mean Stinky in the nicest way, because Stinky can also be pretty SWEET!

Believe it or not, there's still ONE OTHER new stamp set being released today. . . but you'll have to head over to the Sweet blog to see it, plus tons of designer samples (including some from me) for all three of the new stamp sets! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope your day is SWEET and CRAFTY! I'll be back in a few days, (after I've recovered from my jet lag) with tons of photos and fun from my trip out to Utah with the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking crew!

Come on over, friends! {Sweet Stamp Shop}

Howdy, hi, hello there friends! Considering I'm out of town this week, it's going to be a VERY busy week on this little old blog! I hope you'll pop in and visit throughout the week. This week I'm in Utah, partying-- I mean, umm, working diligently, with the lovelies from Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine. This is our annual editorial board meeting, where we plot and scheme -- no, no, I mean plan. Yes, plan, for the upcoming year or so. In all honesty, we will work, and we will play and we will take a million photographs. (Seriously, put a group of crafty, scrappy people in a condo together for a week, and there's apt to be a LOT of pictures taken!)

Today, I have a post on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog. I'm sharing some tips and tricks for cards ideas when you don't feel like coloring - just remembering how to keep it simple, and keep it sweet. (After all, it is the SWEET Stamp Shop!) I hope you'll come on over and join me. Would you like to see a sneak peek of one of the cards I'm sharing over there?

You'll have to head over to the Sweet blog to see the rest of them! Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't be a stranger! xoxo

Stop. Drink. Relax. Repeat. {Sweet Stamp Shop}

I feel like I need an extra few cups of coffee today, after a fun Easter weekend! How about you? Mr. Octopus from Sweet Stamp Shop is quite the coffee-drinking multitasker. I stamped him in Avery Elle pigment ink, and then colored it all with colored pencils. I added some dimensional glaze to his glasses, and the coffee mugs too.

This week, I'm cleaning, organizing, crafting, packing, and getting ready to head to Utah in a few days. (Five to be exact. . . .but who's counting?) I'm thrilled to go spend a few days with the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking staff plus the Go-to Gals as we look back, plan ahead, and work on ideas for the upcoming year or so of the magazine. I have some posts scheduled and ready to go while I'm away, because crafty business will definitely go on as normal!  I might pop in one more time this week, but if not. . . I'll be excited to catch up with you all soon. (And I'm sure I'll need JUST as many cups of coffee as this octopus, after my trip!)

And in the meantime, if you'd like to keep up with the zany antics and adventures of the Go-to Gals next week, feel free to friend me on Facebook, or follow me on Instagram. I'm sure there will be ridiculous pictures, and lots of fun! {You can find my links right up there in the sidebar!}

Have a great week! Thanks so much for stopping by! xoxo

#Smart {Sweet Stamp Shop}

Hello friends! I thought I'd pop in today and share a card that was featured on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog a few days ago, as part of the 2nd April release. This card was created using the stamp set called, Mr. Octopus, (yes, I know - minus the octopus!) I also used some of Owl Be Genius and Just the Basics. I used a journaling card from Simple Stories - it's part of their new DIY collection. I am seriously digging this collection, as well as their coordinating DIY Boutique. The colors are BRIGHT and FUN and the embellishments and papers are just fabulous. I'm blowing through my stash quite quickly! (Oh, and that cute enamel arrow? That's from Close To My Heart!)

Have a beautiful and fun-filled Easter weekend! I'll be filling my kids with chocolate, (which i don't normally do, so they'll be THRILLED) and then finishing up a mountain of to-do's, because ONE WEEK from tomorrow, I'll be jetting off to Utah for our annual Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking editorial board meeting! I. Can. Not. WAIT! :) I'm sure we'll be blowing up Instagram and Facebook with photos and antics. Feel free to friend and/or follow along with my adventures! (Links are right over there on my sidebar!)

It's a day of crafty goodness! {Sweet Stamp Shop}

Oh goodness, friends. Hold on to your crafty hats - are you ready for this? There are some seriously CRAFTY new stamps available at Sweet Stamp Shop today! The samples are amazing and the stamps are OH so SWEET, so PLEASE as soon as you leave here, head over to the Sweet Stamp Shop blog to check them all out. (There may just be some hedgehogs and an octopus too - WHAT!? Yes!)

Here's a tiny taste of the goodness . . .see, I told you - CRAFTY! I'm taunting you with two sets right now. . . Artsy Fartsy and Owl Be Genius. I've combined them on both of this first card - as you can see, they work BEAUTIFULLY together!

I sort of love the way this first card turned out - I just stamped everything on white card stock, and stuck it onto colored backgrounds. The layout of this card is based on a sketch from about a million years ago, that Tami Mayberry designed, back in the days of the Card Positioning Systems blog. {Ahhh, back in the day!} It was always a favorite sketch of mine, and it worked perfectly for this card. Wouldn't this be fun for the first day of school?

This next card is a sneak peek. . .you may have seen it on Facebook, but if not, you can find the whole thing on the Sweet blog today! Okay? Ready? Set? GO! Head there now and be inspired!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
