Poinsettia gift bag {Avery Elle and Whisker Graphics}

Just a quick post today, because I have one sick kiddo, one recovering kiddo, and I'm pretty sure my husband and I are up next. But it's been a WEEK since I've posted, so I wanted to pop in and say HELLO!

I embellished this Whisker Graphics bag (their Middy Bitty Bag) using Avery Elle stamps and dies (Rounded Diamonds and Air Mail), plus some Close To My Heart ribbon.

The Whisker Graphics bags are so much fun - I use them as gift bags, and they are the perfect size for packaging handcrafted cards, either as an envelope for a single card, or to package a set of cards as a gift. The tiny size bags fit perfectly on a card, and/or to hold a gift card! You can find all of the Bitty Bags on the Whisker Graphics website.

And now, I am going to make a chai, and tend to the germs in this household! One of our most important family traditions, is Nights of Lights in St. Augustine, (fun photos here!) where they light up the whole city with Christmas lights. It's amazingly magical and beautiful, and in college it was the best time of year to walk and wander with friends (or perhaps a future husband!) Since my freshman year of college, I've only missed one year. (I started to tell you how many years exactly that is, but then I freaked out and felt majorly OLD.) Tomorrow is the night they light up the city, and we'll get there even if we have to drag ourselves all hopped up on cold medicine, so today is all about REST and HEALTH!

Have a beautiful weekend before Thanksgiving!!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Surprises are fun!

So today's the day! I'm off to Utah!  It's going to be a long day of traveling, from Florida to Utah. . . 5 hours on an airplane, by myself (plus a little time in airports!)  I'm not quite sure what I'll do with all that time to MYSELF. No kiddos to clean up, entertain, chase, and keep safe and accounted for.  I have some books loaded on my ipad though, and I suppose somehow I'll make it through the long trip! :)

I'd like to share some fun little projects that I made for my sweet Go-to Gals.  It's funny how you can consider someone a FRIEND, even if you've never actually MET.  It will make the hugs and giggles even more special, to finally see them all in PERSON for a few days!

So for each of the girls, I covered a mini-composition book, using some gorgeous Teresa Collins paper.  I added their initial on each one.

these first two are for kim kesti, and betsy veldman

for teri anderson, and kimberly crawford

and for heather campbell

I put each one in a cute bag from Whisker Graphics, and added a Teresa Collins tag.  I diecut the girls initials, and clipped it together with pinwheel clips made from a clothespin and a stamp from The Stamps of Life.

To create the pinwheel clips, I covered each with a small strip of patterned paper.  Then I stamped the pinwheels on cardstock and patterned papers. I paper pieced them together, and adhered to the clip with foam tape.  These clips are SO fun to make, and you can even add a magnet to the back for extra versatility. They are great for packages, for paper clips, or bookmarks. {Love making them!}

A lot of people are hunting for teacher-appreciation gifts right about now. . .this is a quick and sweet little project you could put together for a child's teacher too!

I hope you like them! These were fun little gifts to make for my friends.  I waited until today to show them, because hopefully they are all enjoying their plane flights and not reading my blog! Come on back on the 1st, because I have NEW goodies from The Stamps of Life to share! (It's SO SO cute!)
See ya on the flipside!

"Hey there" gift bag {Whisker Graphics and Avery Elle}

Have I told you lately how I love polka-dots?
Have I told you lately how I love clean graphic patterns?
Have i told you lately how I am obsessed with black-and-white-with-a-POP-of-color?

Hmm, well if I haven't, consider yourself told. :)

Whisker Graphics polka-dotted bag. Adorable. They have super cute patterns, and a huge array of colors. The tiny ones are perfect for gift cards, and these bigger ones are great for gifts, and the medium size is a great envelope, or bag to hold a set of homemade cards!

I paired this black and white bag with stamps and dies from Avery Elle, and some bright and cheery cardstock from Discount Cardstock.

bag goodies:
black jewels - Close To My Heart
ink - Clearsnap

New from The {Stamps} of Life!

New goodies from TSOL!!! This frame set coordinates with Sizzix dies, which makes life SO easy! No trimming necessary! (Although I've trimmed them and they aren't bad to cut by hand, if you don't have a diecutting machine!)

This first project is a fun little treat bag.  Can I tell you how happy I was that I had Easter grass in yellow and orange!? I LOVE it when something can function for more than one holiday! The little bag and twine are from Whisker Graphics.  There are tons of sentiments which fit into these fabulous little frames that Stephanie created! They are oh-so-versatile!

I used lots of dies on this card, and two of the frame stamps.  The pop of pink makes me happy!!

I ADORE this crepe cardstock from Discount Cardstock.  The texture is just gorgeous, but it has the weight of cardstock, rather than thin crepe paper!  Love the big monogram (the S is in honor of our fabulous STEPHANIE from The Stamps of Life!)

Be sure to head over to the TSOL store to scoop up these new stamps, plus ink, dies, and anything else you need!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

like peas and carrots!

This week's CPS sponsor is Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.  I ADORE this stamp set, called You & Me.  It has the cutest little smiley images and sweet sentiments in a clean and simple font. (a font can make ALL the difference on a stamp set, in my humble opinion!)

I busted out my Touch Twin markers to color these little guys.  I have LOTS to learn in the marker department. . . I pretty much just muddle my way through, and wing it, hoping I don't massively mess it up!  But I really like the way the peas turned out!  Although I left out the aqua (which is totally shocking, since it's like my FAVORITE color EVER) I was going to submit this card for the Touch Twin color challenge, BUT - funny how I didn't upload it in time. OH WELL! If you haven't ever played along with the Touch Twin challenges, you should! They are a lot of fun!

When you read this, I will be at Animal Kingdom, at Walt Disney World! I'll say hello to the elephants for you! :)

EAD Monday Hopping!

Happy Monday! It's EAD Designs blog hop day!
(You should have arrived here from Laura C's blog,
but if not, head back to the EAD blog and start from the beginning!)

These Monday hops are making the weeks feel like they are FLYING by! (Yikes!) Can you believe it's almost THANKSGIVING!?

Today I have a project combining the beautiful products from both EAD Designs, and Whisker Graphics.  (Be sure to see my previous post for more great EAD/WG inspiration, if you missed it!)
This bag is THE cutest thing - a paper bag that looks like notebook paper?! GENIUS! I just love it.  I used EAD's Back To School Stickerz and created a fun little bag.  I think I'll put some hot cocoa packets, and a card in here for my little man's teacher.

Well you've made it to the end of the hop for today! Thanks so much for coming by! Have a VERY happy Thanksgiving!

Hop with Whisker Graphics/EAD Designs

There just isn't anything much better than cute little bags. . . .and twine. . . .and stickers. . .throw in some fabulous paper, (and well, maybe some stamps and ink) and my life is pretty much complete.  For this reason, Whisker Graphics and EAD Designs is pretty much a BEAUTIFUL combination!!! Whisker Graphics sells these flipping' ADORABLE bitty bags (among other things. . .like terrific printables, twine, and paper goodies!!!)  And EAD sells stickers that work just beautifully with them!
 I created a card with a super secret (well, hopefully not TOO secret) gift card holder on the front of this card.  The Little Bitty Bags are the PERFECT size to tuck a gift card into.  You could use it as is - but I decided to put my bitty chevron beauty onto the front, tie it up with some of this FABULOUS Christmas twine, and add some stickers from EAD Designs! (Funky Christmas Tags, and Celebrate the Season)

If you're just starting here, make sure you get around to all of the other blogs participating in the hop!   One random commenter from the hop, will get the prize pack: a $25 EAD gift certificate, 15 yards of the original 12 Divine Twine colors plus 15 yards of Holiday Divine Twine, and an assortment of Bitty Bags and other goodies from Whisker Graphics. (And a lot of the blogs are offering some extra little goodies too!!!) So what are you waiting for!? Leave me a little love, and then hop on, my friends!!!! :)
